Our mission is to improve the quality of life of women and women with children by empowering them to break the cycle of addiction, poverty and homelessness.

As the youngest of seven siblings, Lucy Hall barely knew her mother, who died of alcoholism when she was six. However, the impressions her mother made on her life inspired a life-long commitment to establish a comprehensive residential recovery program for women and women with children.

Today, Lucy’s dream is a reality with the founding of Mary Hall Freedom House (MHFH), named in memory of her mother. More than 2,500 women have completed the program since MHFH was founded in 1996.
